SERVICES FOR ROLL SHOP MANAGEMENT 1 MON Email : SUMEET.PADHI@AMNS.IN Contact : Name : Sumeet Padhi Item Details : TECHNICAL: Following is the scope of work to be performed by contractor: A) Work Roll Grinding and Assembly: • Roll temperature to be taken in the Mill once out from stand. • Receive the Mill out rolls from the Roll Transfer Car. • Transfer those Mill out rolls from Transfer Car to bottom platform at rollshop floor. • Inspection of Mill out rolls prior to grinding <(>&<)> capture the required information / data if any <(>&<)> action to be taken for any abnormalities • For RM work rolls, apron is to be removed before grinding. • Implementation of crack detection SOP that is inspection of rolls via Lismar as per criteria defined by AMNS. • Inspection of Mill out chocks prior to grinding <(>&<)> capture the required information / data if any <(>&<)> action to be taken for any abnormalities Temperature to be measured with thermo couple of mill out work roll before grinding <(>&<)> backup chock once in a shift <(>&<)> recorded in grinding report. • Separator to be removed before grinding <(>&<)> fixed after grinding if required. • Profile to be taken on Mill out rolls as per requirement. • Placement of roll-on grinding machine from bottom platform. • Grinding of the rolls as per required parameters (Material removal amount, Diameters, Ra-value, Profile, taper, roundness, error etc. <(>&<)> flaw detection (UST/ ECT etc.) as per grinding SOP. • Thorough inspection of chocks in case of RM WR before assembly. • Roll grinding history of all types of rolls (includes roll management system). • Shifting of Rolls from grinding machine to bottom platform. • Roll neck <(>&<)> seal greasing through face of the roll at the bottom platform. • Greasing of chock liner to be done at the bottom platform. • For RM work rolls, apron to be fixed after chocking. • For RM work rolls wiper to be fixed after chocking. • For RM work rolls apron clamp to be fixed after chocking. • For FM work rolls before new roll chocking roll neck <(>&<)> wobbler inspection to be done. • Place the finished ground <(>&<)> thoroughly inspected roll on Roll transfer car <(>&<)> communicate to the mill operation Do necessary recording of data. Send roll dia. information in proper format to Mill. • Grinding machine will be operated by contractor and the following activities connected with machine will be carried out: a. Coolant changing <(>&<)> top-up. b. Disposal of sludge to specified location on regular basis. c. Grinding wheel change. d. Grinding wheel keeping history record. e.
